4 Reasons for a New Roof

Whether your faced with an immediate need for a new roof at the Lake of the Ozarks or you are planning a roofing project in the near future, Above & Beyond Roofing is here to help!  As an Owens Corning Platinum Preffered Contractor, you can rest assured your roof is in good hands.  Here are just a few reasons for needing a new roof and some information to assist you with the process of each.

Increase Your Home's Value

By replacing an old roof, you can add curb appeal to your home and increase its percieved value.  If you plan to sell your home, this could be a great project for you to take on.  When selling a house, the first impression is very important and a new roof could give you that edge to attract buyers.  Not only does a new roof play a critical part in protecting the buyers home investment, it can really transform the look of a home. The return on investment for a new roof ranks at the top of the list.  Use the Owens Corning Design EyeQ visualization tool to upload a photo of your home and see what a new roof could do for you!

Building a New Home

Building a new home can be the best type of roofing project because you have the opportunity to design it exactly the way you want it!  You can choose from any style and color you desire for your brand new roof. You can browse the different options at www.OwensCorning.com.

Leaks

A leaky roof is typically easily identified by water spots on the ceilings, but sometimes its more difficult to find the cause of the leak.  If shingles are missing, cracked or otherwise damaged, water can leak into the home and end up causing a lot of damage if the warning signs are ignored.  When you find a leak, you may assume the shingles are at fault, but there could be other issues at hand.  Water entry can be caused by missing flashing around a chimney or even an ice dam.  Ice dams are formed by the continual thawing of snow over the warmer portions of the roof and refeesing over the cold eave.  Ice dams can cause water to backup under shingles and if you don't have an ice & water underlayment, you can experience leaks.  As your Lake of the Ozarks roofer, we're here to help you find the cause of your leak and get it fixed!

Storm Damage

While your roof is designed to withstand the elements, some more intense storms can still cause some damage.  Storm damage could be anything from wind damage to hail damage or damage from other falling debris.  Wind can cause shingles to blow off your roof, but sometimes wind damage is not that easy to see, like if the adhesive seal is broken. Hail can bruise and even crack your shingles, as can other falling debris.  If you suspect storm damage, contact Above & Beyond roofing for a free roof inspection at the Lake of the Ozarks!
