What is Condensation? Condensation is when moisture develops at the roofs ceiling area and becomes trapped. As your home heats up during the day, the roofing material absorbs the suns heat and creates an air cavity between the insulation and roof. Moisture is drawn into the cavity and becomes trapped and is not able to vent and dry out. When your home cools off, the trapped water condenses and gets into the wood of the roof.
When warm air meets a cold surface, condensation will occur. This can cause mold and mildew to form, damaging the interior structure of your home.
