Above & Beyond Roofing is all about the community.  Whether its participating in charity events, putting roofs over neighbors' heads or just enjoying some of the activities that the Lake area has to offer.  We wanted to let you know about a great event happening here at the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend.  From showing off your old muscle car that's been sitting in storage to admiring the car you wish you owned, the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals is the perfect event for any car lover out there! Registration Do you have an old muscle car, truck or bike to show off?  Register it in the 2014 Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals!  You can go online to  www.magicdragoncarshow.com  to pre-register or you can register in person at the Willmore Lodge starting Thursday, May 1st at Noon. Easter weekend is almost here...and what's more fun than hunting for those colorful eggs stuffed with candy and prizes? Looks like the Luck of the Irish is upon us as we gear up for the Lake of the Ozarks St Patrick's Day Parade!!  The weather is calling for sunshine and mid 60s as we kick of the beginning of the 2014 season!  So, get out and enjoy the parade on March 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip. The parade always has a great variety of floats, motorcycles, boats, local business and of course, (if your luck holds out) a piece or two of candy thrown your way.  It's a fun day to bring the entire family out to enjoy the parade as well as some of the businesses along the Bagnell Dam Strip.   Be sure to look for the Above & Beyond Roofing Crew as we will be participating in the parade this year!!  We are excited to kick of the season and hopefully usher in the warm weather! Holiday festivities are in full swing!  One of our favorite family events is the Lake Ozark Christmas Parade.  This year marks the 29th year of this annual favorite that begins at 1pm on Saturday, December 14th. Lead by the Marine Corp League Honor Guard, the parade will depart from Hwy 242 and proceed down Bagnell Dam Boulevard to the Dam.  Following the Grand Marshall, Santa and Mrs. Claus along with their adorable elves will arrive via Santa's awesome sleigh.  Casper the semi-truck, lit with over 2,000 lights pulls the sleigh through the route as all the helpers through treats to the kiddos lining the streets. Many other favorites are expected to return again this year including the Corvette Club, School of the Osage Marching Band, various civic groups, dance troupes and more!  Santa will arrive at the White House following the parade to hear all of the wish lists and hand out stockings filled with goodies.  Like many events in the Lake Area...

Everyone seems to be getting in the Christmas Spirit around the Lake!  But if you aren't quite there yet, we have the perfect suggestion that is sure to put you in the mood.   One of the most exciting parties of the year is the Lake Area Christmas for Kids Benefit which is this Sunday, December 8th at the Country Club Hotel & Spa.  The party kicks off to the general public (21 & over) at 7pm and no reservations are needed.  Just bring $15 and an unwrapped gift per person to get in the door.  ($20 additional without toy) There is a huge silent auction featuring items at all price points, as well as a live auction that follows.  You can enter to win huge wine and liquor baskets along with lottery trees filled with tickets!  All of this plus entertainment - there is so much going on all night long you just won't want to miss it! It's time for the  Lake of the Ozarks Shootout this week!!  This is a great charity event that draws large crowd to the Lake to watch the largest unsanctioned boat race in the Midwest.  Official speeds of 208mph have been recorded in previous years.   The event has donated $100,000.00 to 22 different organizations in the Lake area!! Totes for Ta-Tas will once again have a fundraiser for the 4th consecutive year to help provide funds for local breast cancer patients Lake Regional Cancer Center Our mission is to support local women fighting breast cancer by providing things like wigs, counseling, transportation, childcare and other specific patient needs. This year, the event will take place on October 1st from 5-8pm at the Resort at Port Arrowhead in Lake of the Ozarks.   Admission is $20 and includes a drink ticket, heavy hors d’oeuvres and door prize entry!  We are looking for gently used purses/totes/wallets for our auction - If you have an item that you would like to donate, you can drop it off at Blinds and More, Lake Printing, Lake Salon & Spa, Bella Donna Salon, Mother's Shrine, Larry's on the Lake, Bryants Osage Outdoor or Lake Regional Cancer Center.   Be sure to Like Totes for Ta-Tas Facebook page for updates on the event!!
