2013 Fall Festivals at Lake of the Ozarks

The cooler temperatures make it the perfect time to get out and enjoy many of the area fall festivals.    Over the next couple of months many communities will offer a variety events in their downtown areas that are perfect for all ages!  Whether you're looking for a parade, car show, homegrown goodies or crafts, you will not be disappointed with the variety of things you will find at these Lake Area Festivals!!  

 Here are a few of our favorites coming up soon!
  1. 28th Annual Eldon Turkey Festival - Saturday, September 28 - all the action is in downtown Eldon. Music, car show, parade, music, food,vendor booths, and a small midway are all part of the fun and so much more!
  2. 34th Annual Versailles Old Tyme Apple Festival - Saturday, October 5 - This award winning festival is enjoyed by thousands of festival goers from all over the state and beyond.  The 2013 theme is "A Taste of the Country" which will lend well to many homegrown goodies!
  3. Big Bass Bash - October 5-6 - if fishing peaks your interest take part in this semi annual tourney and you could win one of many prizes.  Over $200,000 in prize money will be awarded.
  4. Living History / Apple Butter Days - October 11-12 - Many crafters with a large array of items will be on hand along with craft demonstrations, a quilt raffle, apple butter and apple pies available. Admission is free with lunch available for a donation.
  5. 28th Annual Fall Harbor Hop - October 12 - If you are looking for an awesome fall boating day make plans for this one!  Visit over 40 of our participating locations on the water to play your poker hand. Enter the Harbor hop by stopping at any of the check points and checking in.

These are just a few of the many area festivals, events and fundraisers happening in the next few weeks around Lake of the Ozarks.  Look for the Krokson Family - I'm sure we will be out and about enjoying the fall weather too :)
